What Tably does

Tably is an iPhone and iPad app that helps you hold chosen pages with the reason they mattered, then return to them later when it is time to decide. No account is required.

Saved content stays on your device

Tably stores the items you intentionally hold, including the page URL, title and domain; your optional Reason; the Purpose you choose; and local review state such as available to Revisit, Later, Done, or deleted. Tably also keeps a local activity summary for your own workflow.

This saved content and review state are stored locally on your device by default. They are not included in workflow analytics.

Optional first-party workflow analytics

Tably asks before sending workflow analytics. If you choose Share usage analytics, Tably creates a random installation-scoped identifier and sends content-free workflow events to Tably’s Cloudflare service. The choice is optional, and Tably’s features do not depend on analytics or backend availability.

If you choose Not now, Tably creates no analytics installation ID, sends no analytics, does not ask again, and leaves every feature available. You can turn analytics on later in Settings.

The approved event vocabulary is limited to:

  • an app session starting while the app is in the foreground;
  • a Hold succeeding, with only the chosen intent category and whether context was present, or a Hold failing with a broad failure category;
  • a Revisit item being viewed;
  • a completed Open, Later, Done, Delete, or Review again decision;
  • a locally determined completed Hold → Revisit → Decide loop, with only a bounded outcome classification and broad completion-time bucket; and
  • a Custom Revisit being set (chosen Purpose and broad lead-time bucket), presented, or receiving a first Open, Later, Done, or Delete outcome (with only a broad presentation-to-outcome bucket).

Events also include a random event ID, timestamp, app version, build number, and the random installation ID. The installation ID is not derived from an Apple ID, account, advertising identifier, hardware identifier, saved content, or device fingerprint. Tably treats Product Interaction and this installation identifier as linked to the installation/device for App Store privacy disclosure, but does not know the person’s identity from them.

Content excluded from analytics

Workflow analytics never include saved URLs, domains, titles, reasons or notes, page content, browsing history, search text, local item IDs, local session IDs, notification content, or all-tab data. Tably does not scan open tabs, read browsing history, collect page content, or automatically close browser tabs.

Analytics retention, aggregation, and access

Raw workflow events, inactive installation records, and hashed deletion receipts use rolling 90-day retention. Tably may create de-identified reports and global service-health counts from this data. Installation-level report cells representing fewer than 10 installations are suppressed. De-identified aggregate reports and global health counts are retained for no more than 24 months.

Raw analytics access is limited to the owner and necessary backend maintenance operations. Raw identifiers and event payloads are not published in reports, source control, support tickets, or advertising systems.

Turning analytics off and deleting it

You can turn off usage analytics in Settings at any time. Tably immediately stops collection, clears queued analytics, removes the active analytics identifier from the app, and requests deletion of that installation’s raw analytics. If the request cannot complete while offline, the app keeps a local deletion request and retries later. A hashed, short-lived receipt prevents an older in-flight batch from recreating deleted data. Turning analytics off does not delete held pages or affect the product.

If you opt in again later, Tably creates a new identifier and deletion credential that are not linked to the prior installation record.

Beta/TestFlight signup emails

If you join the TestFlight beta list on the website, Tably collects the email address you provide so we can send a beta invite and limited beta follow-up. The signup request may also include source, referrer, user agent, country, and campaign parameters used to understand outreach. Beta signup information is not joined to workflow analytics or used for advertising.

Cloudflare processing

Tably uses Cloudflare Pages Functions and separate Cloudflare D1 databases to process workflow analytics and beta signup requests. Cloudflare may process technical request information such as an IP address and routing metadata to provide hosting, security, and abuse prevention. Tably’s analytics database does not store IP addresses, request headers, or request bodies beyond the strictly allowed event fields.

How information is used

Locally stored app data provides Tably’s Hold → Revisit → Decide functionality. Optional workflow analytics measure whether that content-free workflow works and whether the service is healthy. Beta signup information provides TestFlight access and limited follow-up.

Tably does not sell data, use data for advertising, share data with data brokers, or combine it with another company’s data to track people across apps or websites. Tably includes no third-party analytics SDK or advertising tracker and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

Retention for signup information

Data stored on your device remains until you delete items, reset the local activity summary, uninstall the app, or remove it using iOS controls. Beta signup records are retained for up to 24 months unless you ask Tably to delete an identifiable record sooner.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can decline analytics, turn analytics off and request raw deletion in Settings, delete local items, reset the local activity summary, uninstall Tably, or avoid the beta list. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information Tably has received from you.

To make a privacy request, email support@gettably.tech. Because Tably has no account and analytics use a random installation identifier, Settings is the reliable way to delete the current installation’s raw analytics. Requests about beta signup records may require the signup email address or an approximate submission date. Tably may be unable to identify data after raw deletion or de-identification.
